Wassolon (fmd 159), the first album recorded in Belgium, is now 15 years old. Mamady dreamed of a new recording of these rhythms , one that would be performed by a group of young musicians (and a few old friends) with whom he could place all his trust. Sila Laka means 'Open Road' or 'Open the Way' in Malinke. Mamady has added Abondan to the original eleven rhythms that made up Wassolon. In addition, the original bird recording from Kassa has also been retained. Enjoy!
